About this Position
As a Transport Coordinator, you are responsible for planning and booking sea, air, and road freight to meet delivery and return requirements, including exports, imports, and customer returns. Coordinates with internal teams and carriers to ensure timely shipments, manages special transport needs, investigates service issues, verifies invoices, and handles documentation for international and domestic logistics.
What you´ll do
- Plan and book sea and air freight in line with overseas customer and affiliate delivery requirements, ensuring all special transport needs (e.g. temperature control, DG, time windows) are met.
- Prepare and manage all export documentation (including MO41), ensuring accurate filing and compliance with import/export regulations.
- Coordinate export order consolidation, intercompany dockets, and drop deliveries with planners and warehouse teams, aligning picking priorities and loading sequences.
- Obtain and assess freight quotes for ad-hoc shipments and new lanes, ensuring approval for all express air freight prior to booking.
- Act as the primary contact for export-related queries, raising and managing internal tickets as required.
- Organise imports from third-party suppliers, create inbound shipment numbers, file documentation, and liaise with the warehouse on incoming POs.
- Oversee local transport operations, including daily dispatch monitoring, return logistics, complaint investigations, and preparation of MO41 for Tasmania shipments.
- Verify and approve freight and transport invoices against rate cards, provide payment authorisation, and escalate carrier performance issues to the Logistics Manager.

- 2+ years’ experience in supply chain and logistics, with knowledge of customs-related processes.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
