About this Position

We are looking for our next HR Generalist to join our dynamic HR team and partner with leaders and employees across our Australian & New Zealand Adhesive Technologies and Functions divisions. This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your HR expertise and make a meaningful impact across both strategic and operational people initiatives, including Organisational Development & Design, Talent Management, Employee & Industrial Relations, and generalist HR advisory support. Working closely with senior HR stakeholders, you’ll build trusted relationships, influence people outcomes and play a key role in shaping a high-performing workplace.

Based in Sydney, this role offers the opportunity to work across our Chatswood office and Seven Hills site, with occasional travel to New Zealand. What you´ll do

  • Provide HR generalist and business partnering support, advising leaders and managers across employee relations, policies, procedures and people management.
  • Partner with leadership teams on organisational design, workforce planning and capability development to support current and future business needs.
  • Drive and support HR projects and initiatives across organisational development, governance, engagement, culture, leadership development and training.
  • Lead and support talent management activities, including recruitment, performance management, succession planning, development plans and annual remuneration reviews.
  • Provide expert guidance across employee and industrial relations, including grievances, disciplinary matters, restructures, redundancies, union negotiations and award interpretation.
  • Coach and mentor managers to build people leadership capability, strengthen employee engagement and foster a high-performance culture aligned with Henkel’s values.
  • Support the implementation of local, regional and global HR strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities, local legislation and organisational needs.
  • Provide payroll governance and back-up support across Australia and New Zealand, including payroll reviews, process compliance and system approvals.

What makes you a good fit

  • Degree qualified in Human Resources, Business Management or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years’ HR experience, with strong exposure to Employee & Industrial Relations, Union Negotiations and people management.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, with a basic understanding of New Zealand employment law.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, planning and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Highly collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused, with strong Microsoft Office skills, initiative and a hands-on approach to getting things done.
